Secretary Martin Responds to Release of 2010 Census DataDate: 2/10/2011 Secretary Martin Responds to Release of 2010 Census Data Martin: “necessary first step in the reapportionment process.” Little Rock, Ark. - Secretary of State Mark Martin released the following statement in response to the United States Census Bureau’s release of Arkansas 2010 Census data: "Having these census numbers in hand is a necessary first step in the reapportionment process. While we are in the preliminary stages, I do welcome an initial meeting with Governor Beebe and Attorney General McDaniel to share input on re-drawing state legislative districts.
